Description
Airborne Mission Systems Operators
are part of a squad that works to manage the chaotic nature of war and help
ensure victory. As part of this aircrew, you'll use airborne radar sensors and electronic
countermeasures equipment to help manage the battle space and provide
information to pilots and minced units regarding hostile activity. These
specialists are integral to the success of the Air Force mission and can be
stationed in the United States or with overseas units flying on E-3 or EC-130
aircraft.
Career
Tasks
- Perform aircrew member duties on numerous airborne platforms
- Operate computerized airborne radar sensors and electronic countermeasures equipment, plus maintain communication nets with ground, air and sea surface units
- Gather, record, display, control and distribute information between ground, air and sea surface command and control units
- Perform preflight, postflight and in-flight duties to support the unit mission
- Maintain operational inspection and maintenance records and documents
